I love this! And I have to say, you are a novelist already - you wrote it!

Susan

This post just makes me smile, smile, smile. You've always had such a strong, clear voice, Shannon, but to read how you're believing in yourself like this: just wow.

Melina

I'm so surprised you don't all ready consider yourself a big success! You're a writer all these people read.

Sarah

Wow. Wow! I am impressed and not surprised. Of course you are a novelist! All my luck and love.

Alice

This is awesome news - the interest from the agent was already v. cool, but the coming into your own WRT your creative agency is the most awesome piece, in my opinion. That conviction and certainty is what's made you an author but (as you know), it's not my opinion that counts. :)

Lindsay

Fantastic news, congratulations on the steps so far!

From one thirty-something, highly-educated and under-careered mother to another, I salute you. I too vote that you can declare yourself a novelist now. Congratulations!

Shannon Des Roches Rosa

OMG welcome to the BlogHer CE fold, you novelist and wonderfully-named person you!

Jody

This is great to read, Shannon. (Yeah, I did let 15 posts pile up in my feed reader because I wanted to give them a good bit of attention. Why do you ask!?) Congratulations on your breakthrough.

And as a fellow 1970 baby who's been muddling around in a bit of a funk myself, I may just borrow that question and see where it takes me.
