Tomorrow is Nat's birthday, but today is the party. I made a hideous cake, which of course, Nat loves. I should have unveiled it a little later though, because she had a major breakdown this morning and wailed, "But I don't want to take a nap, I want to eat my rainbow cake!"

Those are beautiful cupcakes! That cake is cracking me up - I'm not sure I'd say it's hideous, but it's something. ha ha
Happy Birthday Nat - have the best year ever.
My little guy (youngest) turns 3 in just over a week - we are keeping it small and simple too. We did the dreaded Chuck E Cheese this year for the first time for the middle one turning 6. If I were not in recovery, I would have taken drugs before going. Although the oldest one (11) having 6 friends over to play instruments was almost as crazy - but at least we were home. Sometimes being a parent is not easy for an introvert.
Enjoy the party!

Delurking (I don't think I've commented before) to say, I love that cake! And can I just say... Karen's comment terrifies me, as we're doing the Chuck E. Cheese thing for the first time next week. Uh oh. Happy birthday to your Nat!
